After a whole month of working on and off, us folks over here at The Galactic Observer are utterly proud to present you readers with our new site! Now I hear you guys think: A second lay-out so soon already, while we’ve only been around a few months so far at best? Well yes, we sort of needed to change it this soon…You see, the previous one was pretty limited in its functionalities. It was a pretty site, oh yes nothing wrong there, but limited nonetheless. It also looked pretty static, There wasn’t really anything dynamic going on and so we wanted to up the ante and be ready for the future, because the future is bright!
We changed the lay-out completely and made the website much more responsive on both your PC, your tablet and/or your mobile phone. We’ve added a fancy slider that automatically pulls in newly published posts and formats them according to the slide’s standard lay-out. It looks great and it works. Furthermore, we’ve further implemented Disqus to let you guys comment on anything we write, better Facebook and Twitter compatibility and other cool stuff. Should you want to contribute to this website in any shape or form, you can go here and fill in the application form. Currently we are looking for a few more people to cover the tsunami of information about No Man’s Sky, give their opinions about said information and generally just write about anything involving the game.
If you can’t write or just don’t really fancy writing, you could also help us out a lot by pledging to us through Patreon (as also seen below this -and every other- article) to enable us to keep writing and expanding this website in the future. We do invest a lot of time in this site and as we add more and more functionalities to the site, we’ll need more time invested also.
Future plans for this site and beyond
We’d like to be more than just a ‘blog’ covering No Man’s Sky. We’re working behind the scenes on message boards, we’re setting up a YouTube-channel to get content out in the near future and have other tricks up our sleeves. So all we can say now is: Stay tuned and keep reading the Galactic Observer!
Leave your comments about the new site below, we’d love to hear what you think!
